Auschwitz released a limited number of English speaking guides per day and you are also competing for a spot against others visiting the museum/memorial. And the train out in the morning was but it was a very different train on the way home and as such the return trip was close to 4hours long. “It was a long day. Felt bad for our driver. But the tour in Auswitz was very good and needed to be heard. Then the trip to Krakow old town was very good. Wish we had a bit more time in Krakow. The day was so long at the camps and without a real rest for a meal, that when we arrived at Krakow, we just wanted to sit and eat something. Nevertheless, found a nice little restaurant and ate dinner (not in the main square) and then enjoyed the walk.”
